Kani MALDIVES

Club Med Kani is a great place to visit, the club makes a lot of effort to keep the grounds clean and environmentally friendly, the ergonomics of the place is intuitive and simple. There are a large variety of different food options, the quality is decent. One of the reasons I visited this place in the Indian ocean is a love for scuba diving, so I did five dives within one week of my stay. The ocean in the vicinity of the island was clean with a large abundance of different marine life. This is a truly "marine biodiversity hotspots" of the planet earth. If you are into snorkeling or diving, you wouldn't be disappointed.

My colleague and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Club Med Kani in Maldives from November 10-13 for a company trip. Let me just say, this place blew us away! Everything from the breathtaking location to the perfectly organized events and top-notch guest service was incredible.

The staffs truly go above and beyond—they pay attention to every little detail to make sure you have the wonderful time. I was so impressed with how friendly and welcoming they were! A special shoutout to Dudu, who took incredible care of us and always ensuring we were looked after. Morita was an absolute joy—so caring and fun to hangout with. Nox brought all the fun vibes with his loud and energetic personality, and Boris was the sweetest and attentive. And to top it all off, the bartenders at the beach bar were absolute lifesavers, making me my go-to tea and honey to soothe my voice—thank you for the care!

Thank you, Club Med Kani, for such a memorable trip. I already can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Maldives.

The island and facilities are fabulous. The staff is out of this world, extremely friendly and professional. We felt at home. The diversity of the food/activities& entertainment are impeccable. And a special praise to these staff members: the one of a kind trainer Christine who knows well her stuff and not only that, but made us feel so welcomed since we arrived & treated us like a friend; the great trainer Atanas, the wonderful snorkeling head Ezekiel, the multi tasked manager Boris and all the rest I didn’t get to memorize their names. It’s simply one of the best trips I had which I already recommended to many of my friends. And, we are planning to be back to Kani soon 😍

Great resort and facilities. Good range of activities to do whilst there. Food exceptional quality. Bar and service great. Only negative is it is expensive.

Review of Club Med Kani

While we enjoyed aspects of our stay, there are areas where the resort could improve, particularly regarding sustainability and pricing transparency.

Sustainability Concerns

It was disappointing to receive a printed letter informing us that the resort manager was away on a business trip. This felt unnecessary and out of step with sustainability principles. A digital communication or an announcement could have sufficed.

Manta Upgrade Pricing

We spent 5 exceptional nights in the Manta section and wanted to extend our stay there for another 5 nights. However, the quoted upgrade cost of €2,200 was unreasonable—more than what we paid to upgrade for 5 nights in the UK. Considering the resort, including Manta, was operating at about 50% capacity, a more competitive in-resort price would have been expected.

Additionally, the Manta manager did not seem particularly engaged with guests unless they were French, which left us feeling somewhat overlooked. It raises the question of whether the upgrade pricing discrepancy was influenced by this bias.

Highlights

• Exceptional Staff: The team truly made our stay memorable. A special thanks to the Indian food team for their outstanding curries and naan bread, as well as the dessert team for their fantastic creations.
• Sports Team: The sports instructors were consistently available, offering expert advice and encouragement, which enhanced our experience.
• Personal Touches: Mithun deserves a big shoutout for making perfect vanilla milkshakes with Baileys!

Final Thoughts

While the staff and activities were outstanding, the pricing practices and lack of sustainability focus dampened our overall experience. We hope Club Med Kani takes these points into consideration to enhance the experience for future guests.
