Kani MALDIVES

Went with my family to club med kani. The resort is very family friendly. Our kids never run out of activities. The food quality is good and the staffs are friendly. One of their staffs Ayoub is super helpful and made us feel like home. Highly recommended to travel with kids

• Ayoub at the reception welcomed us, super smooth checkin, always with a smile when he saw us in the premises, genuine interest, very good human being - great communication and relationship skills
• Elena and the whole kids club members (Ali and the team) were perfect for the kids, till we left on the boat.
• very good time with the sport and snorkeling team (Ezekiel and Celeen !)

My 5th time to this beautiful resort and hopefully not my last as an older solo traveller this ticked all the boxes. Special thanks to Candice, Shane, Al Amin, Mithuen, Ripon and their trainee. They made my stay so comfortable. Big thanks to the restaurant manager, whose name I can't quite remember. He was very attentive, constantly checking to see that I was alright.

We recently stayed in the Maldives and overall had a beautiful and relaxing experience, particularly if you are looking for stunning scenery and peaceful surroundings. The island itself is breathtaking, with crystal-clear water, pristine beaches, and a truly tranquil atmosphere. The overwater accommodation was a standout, offering privacy, comfort, and incredible views—perfect if you want to unwind away from the main resort.

There were also some wonderful staff who made a difference to our stay. Nyaz, who looked after our room, was consistently polite and did an excellent job. Ameel in the buffet was attentive and remembered our preferences each day, which added a lovely personal touch. Ripon at the bar was always friendly and a pleasure to interact with.

That said, there are a few things future travellers should be aware of. The resort app did not function properly during our stay and continuously showed our room as “not ready,” which meant we couldn’t access some of the Exclusive Collection features. Room service was not as seamless as expected and had to be arranged via WhatsApp, with one order unfortunately missed. We also found it difficult not being able to request specific housekeeping times.

Another surprise was that smoking and vaping were permitted in shared areas, including dining spaces, which may not suit all guests. Additionally, while the resort promotes environmental awareness, seeing cats on the island hunting local wildlife felt inconsistent with that message.

In summary, this resort is ideal if you are seeking natural beauty, relaxation, and stunning overwater accommodation. However, for a premium experience, there are some service and operational improvements needed to fully match expectations.
