Great place for some good family time! Lots of activities, restaurants and bars and nightlife was not missing for the younger crowd. Found myself going back to La Estancia; this place really stood out and it was because of our waiters Yanjari and Tomasa. They were just amazing, and day after day would greet us, helped us with everything we needed and great conversation.

We spent a week in the Aguamarina at Club Med Cancun with our 3 children (ages 8, 6, and 4). The proximity of our room to the family pool, which has beautiful ocean views and is impeccably clean, was fantastic. We all enjoyed the waterslides and playing pickleball and bocce ball. The golf carts that run between the two ends of the resort are very nice for the times of the day when it’s especially hot. The part of the beach + ocean that is intended for swimming is definitely far from the Aguamarina rooms but with the golf carts it makes it feasible. The oceanfront area for swimming is absolutely beautiful and easy to find a shady spot to sit. My youngest child LOVED Saulo who let him ride in the front of the golf cart with him. We enjoyed the food overall and liked eating at Taco Arte and la Estancia. The views and ambience at both restaurants was great. Overall we found the quality of food to be better than la Hacienda but with more limited menus. The shrimp soup at Taco Arte was so yummy! The fresh crepes at the Aguamarina pool in the afternoons were great. The regular availability of fruit water and lemonade was also much appreciated. My kids participated in Mini Club for one day and had variable experiences but opted not to go again. The quality of counselors seemed to be highly variable - but the ones for 6-7 and 8-10 year olds seemed great. The lifeguards, waterfront staff, and pickleball staff were all really wonderful. The circus staff was absolutely awful; rude and unhelpful. My 4 year old fell off the ladder to the trapeze and was hanging upside down by a harness attached to his stomach. After they finally got him down and he was understandably quite upset they didn’t even ask if he was okay. We also did not find the people at the Aguamarina reception to be helpful or welcoming. The major “con” is the rooms. They have plenty of space but are quite worn and everything feels damp in them all the time. I had read that the beds were uncomfortable but we found them to be comfortable. The rooms are not well insulated, though, so you hear all the loud noises above you. As soon as you open the slider to the porch area you are met with a strong smell of rotten eggs from the sargassum. Overall I would recommend staying here if you go in with the expectation that you are not going to have luxury accommodations but understand you are paying for the experiences and are willing to brush aside the occasional disgruntled employee.

What a wonderful trip. We were here with my 83 yr mom, my 23 yr old son and his girlfriend and my 17 yr old son and a friend of his and everyone had a wonderful time. The GO’s are great- i will highlight the circus team who had such patience with my frustrated attempts at a single reverse, but also Chava from land sports who made fast friends with the guys in our group.

Kind words are as beautiful as your name. To the many local staff member who mop and sweep and repair and clean- thank you. You work so hard to ensure the grounds are spotless, the meals are delightful, the shows are set up… and the list goes on. Your constant attention is noticed and appreciated more than I can say.

My deep tissue massage was with Juliana. She was amazing, very attentive to my enjoyment and comfort. At the end of my hour long signature treatment I was rested and relaxed at the end. I highly recommend the spa. The facility was very exotic.
